Freedom Center legal team coordinator Aby Adams was invited to join the mental health advisory panel of the Disability Law Center, as a way of working more closely with Disability Law Center attorneys and developing collaborative projects.

The Disability Law Center is federally funded in MA to provide free legal services to protect the rights of people labeled with disabilities. It is one of the primary agencies working on legal challenges to abuse and mistreatment in the mental health system.

"I intend to use my position on the board as an opportunity to make the voices and experiences of people in Western MA heard," Aby said. "The DLC is the legal body charged with protect the rights of people with psych labels in MA, and this is an important opportunity."
